lyrics
The sun was coming up over the hills, and we hadn't even thought of
sleep. We were hiding from daylight, while the storms would come at night, living like
life's a promise we can't keep. Get home, just in time to sleep the day
away, then lay in bed and listen to "the Soft Parade." I never told that I
thought you were something else, and your tattoos are just scars left by
your former self.
We both did things we can't be proud of, or talk about. In the morning,
when I woke up, after that night that I spoke up, you were gone, with no
goodbye. So, fifteen days to get over losing what I never had. Then four months passed, and I recovered. I hope by now you understand.
All that you know is letting go, and the only thing you're good at is
leaving, so leave then.
Go. I won't follow you.
